Press Release
The following displays a press release written during a “Stukent Public Relations Simternship,” an online textbook program that simulated the role of an account director at Julian Communications Agency. The fictional account was Buhi Supply Co., a bag company taking a new eco-friendly direction.

Buhi Renew Eco4 Bag Restock, Partners with Green Warriors
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Retailer Buhi Supply Co. has partnered with Green Warriors to launch a giveback program with the return of the Renew Eco4 bag.
For the next three months starting Sunday, March 5, Buhi will be donating $10 to the global nonprofit organization for every Eco4 bag sold. Green Warriors is an experienced veteran in the fight to save the planet with over four decades of environmental efforts. Along with their focus on environmental initiatives, Green Warriors also share Buhi’s commitment to inclusion and diversity.
“Partnering with Green Warriors to give back to the environment just made sense,” said Tim Burns, Buhi’s director of development and growth. “We love their peaceful approach, their inclusive environment, and their sterling reputation in the nonprofit sphere.”
Since 1971, Green Warriors has used peaceful protest and creative communication to increase knowledge of environmental issues and solutions. With offices in more than 50 countries and over 2.8 million members worldwide, the nonprofit has contributed efforts focused primarily on global warming, the destruction of ancient forests, and the deterioration of oceans.
“We are thrilled that Buhi is joining other responsible companies in their efforts to produce more environmentally sustainable products,” says Dannie Renard, Green Warriors USA executive director. “We are grateful for this opportunity to put additional funds into our mission of saving Mother Earth.”
Following the positive responses from the first launch of Renew Eco4 bags, Buhi has taken necessary steps to prevent future product shortages from ever happening again.
“We created the Eco4 bag as a way to give customers an affordable AND environmentally friendly product. These bags were so popular that we sold out in less than a week!” Burns said. “We know many of you have been anxiously waiting for these bags to come back on sale and we’ve taken steps to make sure we don’t stock out again.”

“International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrates the economic, cultural, social, and political achievements of women. On this day and every day of the year, it’s also important to raise awareness about women’s equality and take actions to help create an inclusive and gender equal world.
“This year’s IWD theme is #ChooseToChallenge and we will focus on acknowledging the accomplishments of the women of BCIT—our BCIT alumni, faculty, and staff—and gaining perspective into the industry from their point of view…”
“In 2019 nearly 75,000 women between the ages of 18-34 rated their mental health as fair to poor. Maybe you think that’s a lot. Maybe you don’t. But in 2015 the number was just 39,700. That’s roughly an 88% increase in just five years. Vancouver consistently ranks near the top of “best places to live” lists. BC is looked at as one of the most beautiful places in the world. Yet the province has some of the fastest climbing numbers for mental health issues in the country.
“What is happening here that young women are seeing their mental health drop at such alarming rates?…”
“The B.C. Teachers’ Federation (BCTF) is asking the Ministry of Education to decrease the class sizes of schools in the Fraser Health region.
“Because of the 63 school exposures in the region, the BCTF is requesting the province to strengthen the mask mandate and allow a maximum of 15 students in each class.…”
“When it comes to counting the best vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Vancouver, Mount Pleasant’s The Acorn ALWAYS makes the list (for a very good reason). The restaurant’s international acclaim, local awards, and focus on B.C. ingredients are partly the magical work of its talented Head Chef, Devon Latté.
“We spoke with Chef Devon to hear about his culinary journey, the challenges and the rewards of the job, and his true feelings towards the Vancouver food scene…”
